Paramore-Singles[2011]
On January 14, Paramore posted the song "In the Mourning" on YouTube. The song only involved Hayley Williams singing and Taylor York with a guitar when it was first posted, and so Jeremy Davis was not involved yet. But the song was still a work in progress and Williams and York came up with ideas on how to make it sound better and how to put it onto their computer. Near the end of the video, they played the song on what they had so far. It was not fully finished as when released on the Singles Club, it had an extra six lines of lyrics. The song was played for the first time live on their South American Tour in early 2011.
On September 7, Paramore played live at the fifteenth anniversary of their record label, Fueled by Ramen performing their new song "Renegade" and "In the Mourning" with an extract of a paragraph of "Landslide" by "Fleetwood Mac". "Renegade" was the first song released off the singles club from the Paramore website. Before this, Renegade was already available to listen to online but it was only a seven second snippet at the start of their "From the Field" videos which followed Hayley, Jeremy and Taylor on the Summer Warped Tour. When they finished playing "In the Mourning", Williams announced that this song along with some other songs would be released before the end of the year.
